Dixon Commercial Investigators is a third-generation family run business since 1956, making us the oldest collection agency in Canada, approaching 70 years in operation. What We Do
We offer our clients full member access to our web portal to collect debts on their own. Once delinquent accounts are submitted, we collect at a rate of 10% on anything over $300. Accounts submitted under $300 we charge at ZERO COMMISSION. Can’t track the debtor down? Our skip tracing efforts will get them back on our collection radar. From mediation to paralegal services, including judgment enforcement, we do it all! At the end of the day, we can even report the debt against their credit which will remain on their record for up to 7 years.
Why Use Our Services
Many creditors don'tt implement real-word consequences to recover debts. They’d rather write the debt off or reluctantly excuse the debt than keep chasing after the money they're owed. We can skip trace and find them. Our collectors are also licensed and understand the law. They know the questions to ask the debtor to get them to slip up and admit to the debt. Once the matter is escalated, the debtors own recorded words can in many cases incriminate them.

Some members just use Dixon for the tools and resources we provide, some for meditation, while others for more aggressive negotiations—we urge clients to not sit on a debt for too long, but there is no law against collecting a debt of any age. Credit reporting affects records for up to 7 years, and a simple payment of any amount can give new life to a debt believed to be "uncollectable", thus restarting the statute of limitations. Many debtors can't have a mark like that on their records if they rely on credit, especially if the debtor is a business; they almost always need bad credit removed to remain in good standing.
